 The UCLU German Society presented a production of the classic play "Biedermann und die Brandstifter" by Swiss author and playwright, Max Frisch. The play was mostly in German and featured students from the Department.

For this year’s inaugural prize, a dissertation was nominated by each of the examiners’ boards for 2010-11 of the following MAs: Centre for European Studies, Comparative Literature, Film Studies, Gender Society and Representation, Language Culture and History, Issues in Modern Culture, Translation Studies.

The UCL “Film Studies Space: The Centre for the Cultural History of the Moving Image” sponsored a international conference on 29-30 September/1 October 2011.

A multimedia exhibition featuring film, images and rarely seen cultural objects from Sierra Leone that explores the role cultural heritage can play in reanimating post-conflict and developing societies opens at UCL this week.
