Dr. Alexander Hererra

Dr. Alexander Herrera is Associate Professor of Archaeology at Universidad de los Andes, Colombia

His work focuses on the archaeology of the central Andes and his research interests include the interface between landscape and identity, the history of water management, the archaeological study of soundscapes, and the uses of indigenous technologies in rural development.

Dr. Herrera is on the editorial board of the journal Forum Kritische Archaeologie and has published widely on Andean archaeology. His most recent work is an edited volume entitled Archaeology and Development in South America.
