Professor Elizabeth Graham

Elizabeth Graham is Professor of Mesoamerican Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London, and an Associate Fellow at the Institute for the Study of the Americas.  She is associated with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Western Ontario as an Adjunct Research Professor, and with the Dept. of Anthropology, University of North Carolina, as an Adjunct Professor. She is also affiliated with the Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología y Medio Ambiente in Cuba.

Professor Graham’s research focus is Maya archaeology and her areas of interest include tropical urbanism, environmental impact, coastal trade, the Contact period, ecotourism, and development. She works mainly in Belize but has also carried out research in Cuba. She has authored two books and a wide range of book chapters and journal articles as well as popular publications
