Peter Gould

Peter G. Gould is a PhD candidate at University College London working at the interface between economic development and public archaeology. His research interest is in the institutional governance features and cultural context of successful community-based projects associated with archaeological sites.

Mr Gould has previously served as CEO of both financial and industrial companies that operated on a global basis, and has been a managing partner of several private equity funds. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology and a director of the Sustainable Preservation Initiative. Early in his career, he worked on economic policy and trade promotion in the White House and U.S. Department of Commerce. He also has served on numerous non-profit Boards in the Philadelphia, Pa. region.
