Dr. Douglas Comer
Dr. Douglas Comer is Co-President of the International Committee of Archaeological Heritage Management. For two decades, he was chief of the National Park Service Applied Archaeology Center, which conducted a great many archaeological investigations associated with historic landscape and structure restoration projects.
Dr. Comer is author of Ritual Ground (1996), a book that examines how humanly contrived landscapes convey, and sometimes reformulate, culture. He is also a former Fulbright scholar in cultural resource management
