Entrepreneurial Finance

"Yes, the course was extremely well organised. The pace of teaching was perfect, key concepts were explained with plenty of real-life examples, engaging 2-way discussion of taught topics. Overall, I am highly pleased with the quality of this course."

"Thanks for all the care and consideration for a very well run course. I greatly appreciated Keith's advice on managing finance as an entrepreneur that was quite obviously based on his own hard won experiences. I wanted to take away an understanding of finance that would better enable me to help entrepreneurs as a mentor and I certainly got that - I would recommend this to any of the other mentors as a valuable investment of time."

"As a final year PhD student thinking of exploiting my research work, I was looking for a course that gave me decent exposure to exploitation opportunities and how things work in commercial settings. The Entrepreneurial Finance course at UCL Advances is an excellent starting point, as it taught me some fundamental concepts relating to accounting practices (NPV, cash flow, P&L, balance sheet, etc), risk management, company valuations and exit strategies, etc, in a limited time interval. The knowledge gained is extremely helpful and applicable for various diverse requirements such as writing a business plan, raising finance or measuring financial health of a company. The course covered topics specific to start-ups which is generally not covered or mentioned in passing. The tutor is undoubtedly one of the best in the field who explained the principles with numerous real-life examples and case studies which made the course highly interactive. Without this approach, the course would have otherwise been dry and abstract. Entrepreneurial Finance is one of the best courses I have attended and would definitely recommend it to everyone."
