Successful applicants will be allowed a 12 month visa and the opportunity to apply for a second 12 month visa if the business is making progress. Successful applicants will be expected to spend most of their time setting up the business, yet will be able to work up to 20 hours per week outside the business in order to support themselves financially.
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate that they have held savings of £900 for the 90 day period prior to making their application. Applicants can only apply for Tier 1 GE whilst in the UK with a student, or Tier 4, visa, but a previously held Tier 1 PSW visa will not be eligible.
