2014 UCL Advances Internship Programme
What is it?
UCL Advances has been running this internship programme for many years and it has grown year on year with the commitment from UCL to:
- Bettering students’ employability skills;
- Connecting students with the exciting entrepreneurial and small business scene in London;
- Supporting London-based SMEs gain real tangible benefits from a UCL intern and to make their businesses progress.
Who is it for?
This programme is open to any London micro, small or medium enterprise with less than 250 employees (including start ups, third sector and social enterprises) and any level UCL student.
Students receive an allowance for worthwhile work experience (£250 per week tax free) which will aid professional development, enhance their CV and could possibly lead on to a permanent job. They also gain the opportunity to attend numerous training workshops to develop business skills.
Businesses get a high calibre student or graduate to work with them, free of charge for 8-12 weeks, who could possibly turn out to be a future employee! This programme is one of a range of enterprise support services offered by UCL Advances designed to aid growth and development.
