Introduction to Consultancy

UCL Advances' Student Consultancy Projects matches teams of UCL and LBS students with businesses to deliver short-term consultancy projects. We are an Introduction to Consultancy workshop on 18th July 2013 with Abdul Rahim, CEO of Aspen Waite in Business Ltd , an extremely experienced and known consultant and other consultants, including recent UCL graduates who have gone on to work in consulting.
Following the 3 hour workshop, there will be short lunch break and an optional information session on the Student Consultancy Projects programme if you'd like to take part in a project in the summer/autumn. Following that, there will be an optional Brief-to-Project in 3 Hours session where you will work in teams on live business consultancy problems.

Who should attend?
It is aimed at anyone interested in starting a business or require an understanding of consultancy and how it works.
About the workshop
This workshop is an introduction to professional business and management consultancy. The workshop will include an overview of how consulting assignments are structured; key tasks and responsibilities; the varying natures of different consulting firms; examples of typical projects and common pitfalls. There will also be guest speakers from consultancy companies who will be able to give you their experiences of the industry and take your questions.
