Campus Party in Berlin

23 August 2012

Students next to UCL bus bound for Campus Party

On Monday, 20 August a group of 25 student gamers, coders, hackers, developers and designers joined the UCL bus bound for Campus Party in Berlin in August.

Campus Party is a massive global technology festival where innovation, creativity, science and digital entertainment come together 24-hours a day for an entire week.
UCL’s bus of students will join an anticipated crowd of 10,000 from 27 countries.  Equipped with laptops they will camp out on-site in a massive arena where talks, workshops, competitions & hackathons take place simultaneously.

UCL's entrepreneurship lecturer and investment analyst at EC1 Capital Itxaso del Palacio will be on stage giving some tips about How to Pitch to Investors on Thursday 23 August. She has also been mentoring start-ups from Wayra competition to pitch in the finals towards the end of the festival.

The students, and some graduates, on the UCL bus came from universities across the country and are studying a range of subjects including Technology Entrepreneurship, Natural Science, Film, Mechanical Engineering, Geography and Medicine. Some are going to learn and network, others to pitch ideas either with a full technical proposal, or just with a great idea. We wish them all good luck and look forward to hearing some good results when they return!
