The course is intended to provide entrepreneurs, whether a postgraduate, academic or business professional, with information that will be useful to them when setting up and running a business. Attendees will become familiar with the legal and operational considerations involved, with opportunities for plenty of debate and discussion. The course will also be interspersed with practical exercises and case studies for attendees to put the discussion points into practical application.
Mark Anderson is a solicitor who runs a commercial law practice in Oxfordshire. He established his firm in 1994 after 10 years of working in-house and at a specialist law firm in central London. The firm now employs 7 lawyers. Most of the firm’s clients are technology-based companies and universities, located mainly in the UK but include corporate and university clients in other European countries, North America and Australasia. He is recommended in Chambers Directory as a leading London lawyer in the field of life-science transactions.
Mark is a regular speaker at training courses for lawyers and business managers, and has been a guest lecturer at the London Business School. He is the author of several legal textbooks for practitioners on commercial law subjects, including Drafting and Negotiating Commercial Contracts and Technology Transfer. He is a member of the Law Society’s Intellectual Property Working Party, the Lambert Committee, the Business-to-Business Licensing committee, the Intellectual Property Lawyers Association and the Society of Legal Scholars.
