Knowledge Exchange Associate (KEA)
A collaboration between UCL Advances and a small
Knowledge Exchange Associate (KEA) is a 6 or 9 month training programme to deliver a knowledge-transfer collaboration between a small or medium-sized enterprise and UCL. PhD students near completion (who will submit their corrections in the next 3 months) or recently graduated PhD can apply to become a KEA and act as a conduit for the transfer of knowledge from UCL to a company that will really benefit from exposure to their specialist knowledge. The KEA’s place of training will be within the company for much of the time. The KEA acts as their own Project Manager for their collaboration. The project will be challenging and central to the needs of the company and its development.
One of the key benefits for the KEA is that 20% of their time will be devoted to formal training to enhance their career prospects and their ability to function effectively within a business. Support and training will be given as required. KEA’s will be offered courses at London Business School, at UCL and elsewhere, depending on their individual needs. This training is unique to the KTA and is of direct benefit to them.
The KEA must be a currently enrolled student at UCL or have graduated no earlier than May 2011. This is an on-going recruitment so applicants can apply over the year as long as they meet the criteria above.
Knowledge Exchange Associates are expected to commit full time to the programme.

A stipend of £2218 will be paid on a monthly basis.
