Vice-Provost (Operations)
Rex Knight as UCL’s Senior Administrative Officer, is responsible to the Provost for
the provision and effective co-ordination of the Corporate Support Services across
UCL. The Directors of the following Divisions report to him: Academic Services;
Communications and Marketing; Development and Alumni Relations; Estates;
Finance; Human Resources; Information Services; and the Registry – all with a
direct reporting line to the Provost, as necessary. The aim of this administrative
grouping is to integrate financial, capital and human resource planning and
management, and thereby to have a consistency of approach aimed at providing an
efficient and cost-effective service for UCL as a whole.
Rex is Convenor of the Health and Safety Committee and UCL’s Major Incident
Team. He is also the designated officer for the receipt of disclosures under the UCL
Policy on Public Interest Disclosure.
