New codes for Mathematics modules

 

The college has decided that all module codes should change to a standard format from 2006-2007 onwards.The new codes for Mathematics modules are of the form:

MATHabcd, where a,b,c,d are numbers between 0 and 9. Here

  • a indicates normal year of course : 1 for first year, 2 for second year, 3 for third/fourth year 4 for fourth year, 6 for ancillary and 7 for options taken by 2nd and 3rd years (i.e. second year second term options)
  • b indicates general area of mathematics (e.g. 1 for analysis, 2 for algebra etc)
  • c,d are just sequential.
