Pre-requisites:Functions Notebook, Graphs Notebook, Power Notebook
If you feel confident with logs already, then feel free to skip to the exit quiz at the end.
In some sections of the Notebook there are suggestions for using the plotter tool below.
You are probably already familiar with some functions, maybe the power functions and the trig. functions, for instance. This notebook is about another function, the logarithmic function. It is often called the log function for short.
As is the case with all functions, it can be used to describe a relationship between variables. This means that if we start with a variable called x, the function log(x) gives us the corresponding values of another variable, say y, where y=log(x).
