MathHelp Notebook on Exponential Functions

Introduction to this Notebook

Pre-requisites:Functions Notebook, Graphs Notebook, Power Notebook

If you feel confident with exponential functions already, then feel free to skip to the exit quiz at the end.

In some sections of the Notebook there are suggestions for using the plotter tool below.

You are probably already familiar with some functions, maybe the power functions and the trig. functions, for instance. This notebook is about another function, the exponential function.

As is the case with all functions, it can be used to describe a relationship between variables. This means that if we start with a variable called x, the function ax gives us the corresponding values of another variable, say y, where y=ax. Here a can be any number.
