Karine Gazarian

"Originally from Lithuania, I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from the Trinity Western University in British Columbia, Canada. During the last years of my education I became interested in cognitive neuroscience and decided to pursue experience and education in this field.
Since graduation, I initially worked as a research assistant with Dr. Adele Diamond, the developmental cognitive neuroscientist, at the University of British Columbia. More recently, I obtained a position as a research assistant at the University College London working on 'Imaging the Deaf Brain' project, which uses functional magnetic resonance imaging to determine the regions of the brain that are involved in processing language in both deaf and hearing people."
