Analytical Facilities

 

The GTU conducts theoretical, experimental and applied research into all aspects of groundwater tracing and contaminant transport in aquifers, with the aim of improving the scientific basis of public policy for protecting groundwaters.



The Wolfson is a research laboratory within the UCL-Birkbeck Research School for Earth Sciences which focuses on environmental mineralogy, low temperature geochemistry and hydrochemistry.

B.E.I.F. webpage
The BEIF is a specialized facility housed within UCL Department of Chemistry. Its instruments include two gas-source mass spectrometers, low-background gamma spectrometers and alpha spectrometers. The BEIF is a joint facility for the Departments of Chemistry, Geography and Earth Sciences, and is available to any user with an interest in isotopic measurements in the environmental sciences, archaeology, anthropology or any cognate discipline. Inquiries from potential users outside UCL are also welcome.
