Welcome to UCL's Deep-Water Research Group

At UCL (Department of Earth Sciences), we are interested in all aspects of deep-water (mainly deep-marine) sedimentary processes, deposits, environments, architectural elements, controls on deep-water systems (e.g., global climate and tectonics), sediment petrography, geochemistry, micropalaeontology and applied aspects of our work.

Currently, our research group is geographically focussed in the Middle Eocene Ainsa - Jaca basin, Spanish Pyrenees,as we regard this basin as amongst the best (and most readily accessible) natural laboratories worldwide for such studies.
