The distinctive research aims and profile of the Department reflect its long-standing commitment to a broad-based conception of Anthropology, combining biological, social and material culture perspectives. A substantial proportion of the Department’s research activity and outputs are the result of staff collaboration both within and between these groupings, for example in pastoralist research and in the anthropology of genomics.
