UCL Nordic/Baltic Research Group

The research group was established in 2008 by historians and social scientists from the UCL Department of Scandinavian Studies and School of Slavonic and East European Studies to promote research on the Nordic/Baltic region. The group was launched with a Study Day on Nordic/Baltic research, which brought together researchers from UCL and other universities in London and the CEELBAS network. In 2009 the research group won funding from the ESRC for a series of seminars on 'The Nordic and Baltic States in the European Political Imagination'. Further information on the seminar series is available here.

Members of the group include:

  • Dr Mary Hilson, Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Scandinavian History, UCL
