Race Equality Charter

The Race Equality Charter is a national scheme aimed at improving the representation, progression and success of minority ethnic staff and students within higher education.

About

The purpose of the Race Equality Charter is to inspire a strategic approach to making cultural and systemic changes that will make a real difference to minority ethnic staff and students.

The university is committed to the aims and principles of the Race Equality Charter and was one of the first institutions in the UK to be formally awarded for its efforts to understand, and take steps to address, racialised inequalities in the academy.

UCL received a Bronze award in 2015 and this was renewed in 2020.
